The
Office of Program Direction and Corporate (PDCA) develops, on behalf of
the Director of the Office of Science (SC), SC-specific policies related
to the SC Program Direction budget and administers and executes the
Program Direction budget for the entire SC complex. PDCA performs
analytical studies on crosscutting issues which affect the entirety of
the Office of Science or require independent assessment in the judgment
of the Director. PDCA manages activities related to the Federal
Managers’ Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA) and the A-76 Fair Act
Review. It coordinates Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) activities
and provides, or oversees the provision of, administrative services to
SC Headquarters Offices. PDCA
also manages SC processes to review draft policy-related documents;
respond to Government Accountability Office (GAO) and Inspector General
(IG) audits; and respond to information requests received under the
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act. PDCA
supports the Office of Science (SC) mission to foster, formulate, and
support forefront basic and applied research programs which advance the
science and technology foundations necessary to accomplish Department of
Energy (DOE) missions.
